With 20+ years of experience and a wealth of knowledge, Melanie also leans into Buddhist and Taoist principles, and incorporates the latest in Psychology and Neurosciences to identify and address the root causes of emotional and physical discomfort, find relief, and restore balance. Yoga Therapy Offerings

All Yoga Therapy sessions are offered in-person at various studios and private locations across southern New Hampshire.
Comparable quality sessions are also offered remotely over Zoom, with more availability, anywhere you happen to be!

Individual Yoga Therapy

Yoga Therapy is a one-to-one body-based therapy session specifically tailored to the individual receiving the therapy. There is no prescribed sequence or outcome throughout the experience. During a session, you will be guided more deeply into your own inner awareness, setting the stage for you to access your body’s intuitive knowledge and invite transformational change. You do not need any Yoga experience to benefit from Yoga Therapy. It is recommended that you participate in at least 4 sessions to begin experiencing transformative changes in your life - physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Couples/Partnership Yoga Therapy

Partner Yoga Therapy offers the use of simple yoga positions to engage in with your partner (romantic or not-romantic) as a means of exploration - how do YOU show up for each other, and toward others in this world? Throughout each session, we will practice clear communication of your own experience while your partner practices deep listening and reflecting skills. Engaging in this work, you will bring about deeper compassion and connection with each other, greatly enhancing or healing yourselves in relationship to others. Arrive with an open mind, clear intention, and be surprised by what you discover about yourselves and each other!

Life Mentoring

Now accepting Life Mentoring Clients for 4- or 8-Session Packages!!
As a Life Mentoring Client, you will be committing to and engaging in multiple intensive Yoga Therapy Sessions with compassionate inquiry, accountability, and empowering life integration over the course of several weeks.
Together, we will explore your goals, clarify your meaning and purpose, and work toward creating the life you truly want to live. What is the one thing you would change in your life if you could? Perhaps it’s time to have a mentor to help navigate your unique True North, and overcome what might be keeping you from making lasting change.

Therapeutic

Designed to bring each participant to a present-centered awareness of the here and now. By skillfully guiding the participants through a sequence of breathing, movement, yoga postures, and meditation, the conditions are set to allow for the individual’s intuitive insight to arise.

 

 

Children’s Playful

Classes are designed for ages 6-12, but everyone is welcome! Come get creative and explore with us while we learn about how we breath and move our bodies on imaginary adventures. Through Yoga, we learn strategies to notice and regulate our emotions in every day life

 

Prenatal/Postnatal

Yoga is extremely beneficial for preparing the mind and body for giving birth.
This class aims to increase tolerance of discomfort by utilizing helpful breathing techniques, learning to relax into the body, open, strengthen and stabilize in preparation for giving birth, physically, mentally, and emotionally.

 

 

Chair Sequence

This class is designed especially for our aging population or those bodies with limited mobility. Class is designed around sitting in a chair, or using the chair for stability. Our sequences can be modified to provide additional challenge where needed or desired.

Please choose a sturdy chair with 4 stationary legs (no wheels). When sitting, your knees should be roughly 90-degrees, and your feet should plant firmly onto the floor for support.

 

 
 

Hatha

Join us for an accessible flow-based yoga experience focusing on our breathing and movement. Classes adapt and accommodate students of all ages and abilities, including those bodies who don’t believe they can do yoga. We move at our own pace, and to our own abilities.

 

 

Teen Connection

Focused time to disconnect from social pressures, and connect to your inner self. We will explore tools to help nurture centeredness and inner calmness as we navigate every day life. Yoga is proven to help reduce stress and alleviate symptoms of anxiety and depression in teens.
